A former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has said he will honour the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission once he receives a letter to that effect.

The former governor, who also denied making any statement on his invitation over the Pandora papers, said he had not seen any invite from the anti-graft commission.

Obi said this in a statement on Monday titled, ‘I have not made any statement on EFCC’s invitation – Obi,’,signed by his spokesman, Valentine Obienyem.

According to leaked files published by Premium Times, Obi operated a foreign account and did not declare it in his asset declaration form provided by the Code of Conduct Bureau.

He was said to have been invited by the EFCC over the matter.
